East Sussex College is a newly formed college following the merger between Sussex Coast College Hastings and Sussex Downs College. The college now has campuses in Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes, and Newhaven, and provides high quality education and training for almost half of the county’s young people.
The College has years of experience of successfully delivering a broad range of academic and vocational programmes. These include A-Levels, Vocational and Technical qualifications, Apprenticeships, and Higher Education.
Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, many different schools, and in some cases, different countries. Their achievements are testament to the College’s high expectations, the dedication of our lecturers and, of course, to the students’ own hard work and commitment to their studies. Students leave the College with high quality qualifications that gain them entry to university, to further study and to employment. Almost a quarter of students who progress to Higher Education, gain admission to the prestigious ‘Russell Group’ universities, which include Oxford and Cambridge.
The college is actively involved with the community, working with around 3,000 local employers and voluntary organisations to offer bespoke training programmes and relevant and meaningful work experience opportunities.
