Skills Training Academy is the trading name and service mark for GP Strategies Training Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation. GP Strategies trades on the New York Stock Exchange as GPX.

Founded in 1966, with a world-wide staff of 2400 professionals, GP Strategies is one of the largest consultancy and training providers in the world and has provided training support in over 70 countries. GP has been trading in the UK since 1997, and its UK acquisitions have been trading since 1972. Our core business is training and development.

In the UK, GP Strategies Training Limited deliver a wide range of training programmes across a broad spectrum of sectors to the unemployed and those already in employment.

GP has over twenty years’ experience in the development and delivery of QCF/NVQ and Apprenticeship programmes which meet both the workforce development and business support needs of large companies and their employees.

You will be employed under the same terms and conditions as other people where you work and your trainer/assessor will support you through your qualification.

Being a learner at the Skills Training Academy opens up a whole new world of learning and self-development resources to you:

Once on a programme each Learner is equipped with “My Page” which links them to their course tutor, mentors and buddy groups and includes a Virtual Learning Environment, open 24-7.

About "My Page" - your own Virtual Learning Environment

Once Learners have registered and completed an Application form they will be able to access “My Page” by simply logging in.

“My Page” allows learners to view their status with the Skills Training Academy and delivers a whole range of information about the programme they are on. Additionally there are some really useful tools and benefits to help gain friends with fellow students and work mates.

Learners will be able to:

  • Check out the programme they are on
  • Communicate with trainer/assessor/buddies (both ways)
  • Upload/download course work
  • Link to upload course work to e-Qual
  • Search and add friends to own buddy group
  • View Learner information from Skills Training Academy
  • Report Safeguarding issues via our Sharp system
  • View videos from STA-TV
  • View and take part in the forum

Throughout your programme you will have access to a range of free and impartial information, advice and guidance to help you with decision making about your course, qualification and future career progression.
