Welcome to Seaford Head School and 6th form centre
It is with immense pride that I welcome you to the Sixth Form at Seaford Head.
The Sixth Form Centre opened in September 2014 and offers a varied academic curriculum. This curriculum supports our students to follow a variety of pathways at university. Students follow a timetable that includes enrichment, tutoring and discrete intervention to ensure that they reach their potential.
As a student at S6H you will be provided with support, guidance and advice that will ensure you are successful and achieve your academic and career goals.
I look forward to welcoming you to our centre.

Strong Support & Intervention
We will offer students a continuity of care and support. An experienced personal tutor will help them to get the most from their sixth form experience. To achieve this we will ensure that every student has their own mentor who will:
• Monitor their students very closely, holding regular mentoring interviews;
• Maintain close contact with their students and their parents and carers;
• Ensure there is always someone available for students to talk to when they need to.
We recognise that students will have matured and we will encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning, developing a more informal working partnership with their subject teachers.
As there are tough decisions about which courses and subjects to follow, S6H staff will arrange individual guidance interviews to ensure that the study programmes students choose to follow are right for them.
The time in the sixth form will be challenging, from making the right choices, to maintaining the right commitment, to achieving the best results and then deciding what to do after their Sixth Form experience.
Enrichment at S6H
All students are expected to attend Enrichment Sessions. These take place once a week and run alongside your academic subjects.
You will be required to sign up to your chosen activity in your first week at Sixth Form.
We offer a range of activities here at S6H, including:

Your education at Seaford Head Sixth Form is free if you are under 19 years of age at the start of your course, so you will not be charged for tuition.
We will have to charge you for equipment and materials that you keep and you may also be asked to pay for trips, visits and other extras.
Exam fees are paid for by S6H, unless your attendance across all of your timetabled lessons drops below 95% or if you are re-sitting an exam.
