Welcome to Old Swinford Hospital

Old Swinford Hospital can offer you a fantastic opportunity to flourish and develop, both as an academic and as a person. There is an enormous range of activities for you to take part in, such as sport, music, drama and so much more. You will be absorbed into a very tight knit community where staff will get to know you very well and will be able to foster your strengths and help develop your weaknesses.

The Sixth Form team are committed to providing you with all the support you need to achieve the highest level of success of which you are capable. The support starts with the process of choosing your subjects for AS and A Level, guidance as you work through your courses and advice about university/job applications and GAP year opportunities.

I would actively encourage you to visit our school and to meet our students who will tell you for themselves, exactly what it is like to become an OSH student.

Dr Richard Heaton

Director of Sixth Form

About us

There will be approximately 50 Day Student places available in September 2016. Six places will be awarded on the basis of aptitude for Sport or Music and the remainder will be offered on the basis of academic ability as demonstrated by predicted GCSE grades.
