Welcome to Budmouth College


Welcome to our Sixth Form. As a College, we aim to ensure that our Sixth Form students achieve at the highest levels, in all areas of the curriculum and develop to their full potential as independent learners. We offer a broad range of curriculum choices, linked to the highest quality of teaching, in an inspiring environment. This all takes place in our Sixth Form accommodation, which includes our brand new Sixth Form Cafe.
 
The Sixth Form serves as a beacon for the rest of the college to aspire to and is seen by the students as agateway to open up greater opportunities as they move into their adult lives.

Facilities available

Our current facilities include: 
 
 •750 computers and fourteen computer suites  
• High speed Wi-Fi right across the campus
• A Centre of Excellence for Business & Industrial Liaison
• Fourteen fully equipped laboratories
• Ten workshops and design studios
• A central Resources Centre open from 7.30am until 5pm each day
•A sports centre, fitness suite, two gymnasia. a badminton hall, six floodlit netball courts, seven tennis courts, an Astroturf. a climbing wall, extensive playing fields, a Dance Studio, Drama Studio, Music Studio, Recording Studio and Practice Rooms
• A CCF headquarters building.
• A new Sixth Form Cafeteria and a Coffee Shop 
 

Learner success

  • Students currently achieve 67% 5A* - C (inc English and maths) well above the county and national average
  •  ‘A’ level success rate is currently running at 99%
  •  Post 16 Vocational course success rates are currently running at 100%
  •  Annually over 150 apply to go on to university with many gaining places at Russell Group universities including Oxford and Cambridge
