Welcome to South Downs College

South Downs College was established in 1974 and has grown exponentially in both size and reputation since that date. The College was graded as 'Outstanding Ofsted in two full inspections since 2004 and awarded Beacon College status in 2007 - an award that highlights the excellence, innovation and exceptional teaching and learning in the top colleges in the country.

The College works tirelessly to provide outstanding educational opportunities to the local community. Our teaching staff are dedicated to maintaining high quality standards at the college and many have been recognised for their contribution. In 2012, History lecturer Georgina Blair was named Regional Further Education Teacher of the Year after syudents nominated her for the award.

We are proud to be part of the future of our region. Whole generations of families have been students at our College and it is this tradition of educational excellence that will give you confidence if you choose to continue your studies with us. A look at the College's alumni illustrates that South Downs College has helped some fantastic students achieve their career goals.
