Welcome to West Hatch High School

Thank you for showing an interest in West Hatch High School. We have a vibrant Sixth Form with 335 students and a great deal to offer you.

We have high expectations and provide you with the best teaching and support a dedicated staff can offer. You will get a first rate Post-16 education, through a wide ranging curriculum of A-Level subjects, stand alone vocational courses including BTEC Sport. BTEC Business and the Extended CACHE Diploma. New subjects include Law, Sociology, Spanish, Film Studies, BTEC Science and BTEC Fashion.

In addition, West Hatch has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Your learning will be enhanced by the Extended Project and enrichment opportunities. Any clubs or societies you wish to initiate will be genuinely welcomed or you can join in those already in existence and make your mark! You will have opportunities through community service, being a Peer Mentor or Prefect to develop your interpersonal and leadership skills.

West Hatch is a designated Business and Enterprise School and this specialist status enables us to embrace a culture of enterprise to extend choice in the curriculum and make business integral to the learning experience. We provide opportunities for the study of business and enterprise subjects, through both academic and vocational courses. We aim to enhance and widen your career aspirations providing opportunities to experience business first hand through a range of contacts.

Staff and pupils value each other here and work hard in a positive environment. We have a dedicated Sixth Form Centre, including a library and study area with a Study Supervisor and computer facilities, as well as a Common Room and new Sixth Form Cafeteria.
