Welcome to Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School

Students at Holmes Chapel Sixth Form College are helped to achieve their full potential, both academically and as individuals within a supportive, flexible framework. We want all students to succeed and to enjoy their two years in the Sixth Form. To this end we strive to develop a three-way partnership between the students, the teaching staff and their parents.

The college undertakes to provide teaching support and an environment and atmosphere conducive to learning. In return, we ask that students conform to certain standards of behaviour and dress and to accept that success depends on their willingness to work hard and play a full and active part in school life.

Parents are asked to support their children both practically and emotionally in their activities and to support the school in its efforts to maximise the students' academic potential. Students who choose to pursue their studies at Holmes Chapel Sixth Form College invariably go on to be successful in their chosen fields.

The majority of our sixth formers go on to Higher Education and then into highly successful careers in a wide range of occupations. Outside of the classroom, Holmes Chapel Sixth Form College provides a variety of opportunities for students to take on responsibilities in leadership positions within the school as well as providing an expanding sixth form ‘Enrichment Programme’. Our sixth form students play a huge role in the life of the wider school community while also increasing and improving their own skills.

The wishes of the sixth form students have also been key to recent improvements in the sixth form itself and we continue to work together to make our sixth form much more their sixth form.
