Welcome to Taverham High School

Taverham High School is an 11-18 school delivering post-16 courses. We offer a wide range of Advanced Level Courses. Facilities at Taverham High School are improving rapidly for Sixth Formers. All students on site have access to up to date ICT equipment across the school, as well as a comfortable common room which includes computers and dedicated WiFi access. There is also a quiet study room within the Library.

All Sixth Form students attend regular Conferences where talks from outside speakers are organised as well as discussing issues relevant to 16-18 year olds. Topics are wide-ranging and include local and world current affairs, career guidance and applications to university. Each student is assigned a dedicated Form Tutor who holds regular tutorials with 2-3 students on a fortnightly basis.

This allows Tutors to get to know individual students well during their time in the Sixth Form. Support is also available on a one-to-one basis for those students who are having difficulty within the Sixth Form.

There are Heads of Years in Y12 and Y13 as well as a dedicated member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for all Sixth Form matters. A really pleasing number of students apply for and gain places to University the length and breadth of the country, with others going on to careers in the local area.
