The Bewdley Sixth Form

Welcome to The Bewdley School Sixth Form. We are committed to pursuing academic excellence supported by…

* High Expectations – Through a combination of personal target setting and regular monitoring of academic progress we seek to enable all students to achieve their full potential.

* Student Leadership - Our Sixth Form students are role models and leaders of younger pupils in the school. Students are actively involved in academic mentoring of younger pupils and also offer leadership in extra curricular activities.

* Community – Despite attracting growing numbers of external applicants over the past few years we remain a relatively small and friendly sixth form committed to offering individual support, excellent teaching in small class sizes and personal mentoring.

* Choice – We offer more than 20 ‘A’ level courses, a variety of applied courses and links to all the other schools and colleges in the Wyre Forest.

We recognise that Sixth Form is a time of significant transition for young people and offer a comprehensive Tutor programme aimed at helping students settle in quickly. Towards the end of Year 12, the focus of our support shifts towards offering guidance and assistance for students as they prepare for life after Bewdley. We have a proven track record of supporting the majority of our students in achieving a place at their first choice university.

Recent successes include students progressing to study Medicine, Veterinary Science and courses at Oxbridge. We are confident that Bewdley Sixth Form provides a stimulating learning environment in which all students can flourish. If you have any queries about post sixteen learning at Bewdley then please do not hesitate to contact us.
