Welcome to King Henry VIII School

King Henry VIII School is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school which was established in 1542. It moved to its current site on the periphery of Abergavenny in the 1960s and shares its facilities with the town's Leisure Centre.King Henry offers a diverse and challenging curriculum for 11-18 year olds within a vibrant and achieving community. We are proud of our reputation for: A tradition of first class teaching by well qualified and caring teachers Offering a wide range of academic and vocational courses Achieving excellent examination results at both Key Stage 4 and 5 Providing an extensive range of extra curricular activities including sporting and musical activities and regular visits abroad.
