Welcome to Padworth College

Padworth College was established in 1963 by an Oxford University professor with the aim of bringing a more informal tutorial approach to senior school education.

The College has evolved over the years to build and maintain a strong reputation for good academic results, an enviable list of university destinations for our leavers and outstanding pastoral care which encourages students to grow and develop into confident and mature young adults.

Padworth provides a safe, secure and friendly environment where students are encouraged to appreciate and to learn about the world in which we live, whilst developing their academic potential and other talents. Our pastoral strength is drawn from a sense of family values and from the knowledge of our students as individuals. A distinctive feature is our international diversity which we believe creates a culture of understanding and appreciation of others where differences are not barriers but respected by all. At Padworth, you can be yourself.

Recent years have seen significant investment to enhance the facilities for teaching and learning and to sustain the high standard of boarding accommodation. Future developments are planned to support the educational experience of our students and to maximise their learning opportunities.

If you would like to know more – either as a boarder or a day student, please get in touch. Do, if you can, visit the College in person. Our kind, happy and smiling students with their palpable sense of purpose will leave you with a real and lasting impression of the ethos that underpins our College.

I look forward to welcoming you here.
