Welcome to Baxter College

Baxter College was reorganised in 2007 as part of the Wyre Forest Review, to become an 11-18 comprehensive school of almost 1150 students, which includes a rapidly growing post 16 population of 145.

Our intake has trebled over the last few years, reflecting a growing confidence in its reputation within the local community. The College mission statement ‘raising the achievement of all through quality learning’ is a precise statement of our intent and it provides the keynote to the entire life of the College.

Although our physical resources are, of course, important, the quality and dedication of the whole staff is vital. A measure of this comes from our exceptional extra-curricular programme which staff offer, in their spare time, to enhance the learning experience of our students.

As parents, your wishes are, no doubt, that your child should do as well as possible and leave College well-qualified. Our aim is to meet those wishes by instilling in our students, not only an understanding of learning, but also the pleasure that can be found in a sense of purpose and achievement.

College Vision

All stakeholders will have knowledge, skill and experience to match the very best.

College Aims

  • To enable all students to become autonomous learners with a desire for learning, high self-esteem and pride in their achievements.
  • To provide for all of our students, a wide range of experience which will amount to a relevant, effective and recognised preparation for life.

Mission Statement

“Raising the achievement of all through quality learning”
