Welcome to Grimsby Institute

You are about to make one of the most important decisions you will ever make and I wanted to give you some important information about us and tell you about our fantastic range of courses.

Over the next few years, according to oursources, there is expected to be almost 19,000 more jobs becoming available in our region. Now is the ideal time to train for your career.

Everyone is different...
With this in mind we appreciate that no two learners are the same. For many years the tradition has been to match a learner to a course, but, as we all know, one size does not fit all!

Our courses are now tailored to meet the individual needs of every learner.
All you need to do is apply for the subject of your choice and we will work out the level of course using your predicted and actual GCSE results and other qualifications.

Maths and English are essential subjects, if you missed out on gaining an A-C grade at school these will be studied alongside your main course to give you more opportunities in the future.

Whatever level you need to start at, if you just missed out on a grade or if you need more stretch and challenge, our courses will be tailored just for you to ensure your learning success.

Making Grimsby Institute the perfect fit!

Principal & Chief Executive

It provides a broad curriculum that encompasses full and part-time provision from 14 years onwards.

The vast array of training options include Further and Higher Education choices offering Apprenticeships, community provision, business training, workbased training and commercial activities.

The Nuns Corner Campus is home to the Engineering & Renewable Energy Centre, a brand new £6million Sports Centre and the Grimsby School of Art, a new £4million home for our Creative Arts courses.

The Institute’s Nunsthorpe Community Campus, located a short walk from the Main Campus, offers some Construction provision alongside some of our Landbased Studies courses (Horticulture & Animal Care) that are also offered at the LRAC Campus.
