Welcome to English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College

Moving to a Sixth Form College is a defining moment in your academic life. It represents the beginning of genuine independence and is a bridge to University and career ambitions. English Martyrs encourages freedom of expression, doing what you believe in, and going after your dreams.

Your stay at our Sixth Form College will provide you with countless opportunities to
build towards your future. Opportunities exist in Young Enterprise, Engineering
programmes, work experience, peer mentoring, voluntary work, organised
University visits and numerous overseas trips. In short we will assist you in whatever way you feel will help you to achieve your goals. It’s all about preparing for the future, and the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

A common misconception is that English Martyrs Sixth Form College only accepts
Catholic students from our own school. This could not be further from the truth. Students from all the major secondary schools in Hartlepool regularly choose to join our community. We also have many students travelling long distances in the Tees Valley area to make use of our specialist facilities and because they know we consistently deliver outstanding results.
