Welcome to Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College

Archbishop Beck Cathoic Sports College is a high achieveing school and we are proud of the performance of our students at both Key Stage 4 and 5. You can be confident that if you join the Sixth Form at Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College you will be successful. This year we have been pleased to welcome over 50 students from other schools who have joined the College.

The reputation of the Sixth Form has continued to grow across the city and there are now 300 students in our Sixth Form. We will provide them with a personalised pathway that will develop their talents and prepare them for university life after school/

These achievements are only possible due to the effort put in by teaching and support staff, parents and of course the endeavour of our students who have worked tirelessly to be successful. We look forward to seeing you in our Sixth Form.

About us

Here at Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College we set our standards high. Our aim is to equip our students with the skills, qualifications and work experience to ensure success at University and in future career choices.

We are extremely proud of our students and are members of a very elite group with a 99% pass rate at A Level and a 100% pass rate for all BTEC courses. All of our pass rates (AS, A Level, BTEC) exceed the national average. Our students are highly motivated and enjoy their experience here in the Sixth Form.

Students undertake extensive work in preparation for the workplace. This includes an Employability Interview Programme, a Work Inspiration Programme, in which all students taste high quality work experience and a number of career based initiatives, including external visits and internal guest speakers.

Students are also offered an extensive enrichment programme with opportunities to undertake NHS placements, primary school experience, Duke of Edinburgh, British Sign Language courses, Community Sports Leadership Award (CSLA)  and others. They are directed towards voluntary and weekend opportunities designed to enhance their CV and contribute positively to the local community.

The staff and students are extremely proud of their Sixth Form and I look forward to welcoming you to our Sixth Form.
