Welcome to Chiltern Hills Academy

Here at Chiltern Hills Academy we have a vibrant and growing sixth form. As the Sixth Form continues to grow and there are wider opportunities for both traditional A Levels and vocational courses. There are more than twenty-two different courses offered in the Sixth Form. These include performing arts courses: Dance, Music, Music Technology and Media Studies, together with the more traditional courses. With a relatively small sixth form, students are nurtured and encouraged in small teaching groups to achieve their very best. This enables them to ensure that they achieve their full potential whatever their interests and aspirations. There are more new courses added this year, including Financial Studies and Food Technology.

The Academy has undergone a complete refurbishment. Purpose built Sixth Form facilities are now open. There are new and improved study facilities for students with expanded common room space and improved computer access. This is a very exciting year for us.

Most of our students in Year 12 take four AS levels of their choice. In Year 13, they choose just three subjects at A2. There are also a number of one year BTEC courses available.

Our students also participate in a full programme of PSHE and Enrichment activities, including educational visits, presentations from a wide range of outside speakers, various sports (orienteering, football, rock climbing, cricket, etc), cooking for students, as well as involvement in various community projects. There is also an extensive range of careers support available from Connexions and our own experienced sixth form pastoral team.
