We provide students with a quality learning environment in which to study revolutionised since the £27 million redevelopment. Combined with a high level of staff expertise, we have vast experience in delivering education stretching back over many years. We provide a high standard of teaching and learning and have exceptional links with local industries.

Facilities available

Our campuses include commercial hair and beauty training salons, construction workshops, a fully equipped training restaurant and extensive creative and performing arts facilities.

Learning Resource Centre

To support your studies, the College boasts a fully equipped Learning Resources Centre, combining traditional library services with the latest technology.

 

The Arts Centre

The Arts Centre hosts excellent on-site industry standard facilities that will support you in your studies. We have a Box Office, a 162 seat theatre, a dance studio, ballet barre's and mirrors, a drama studio, two recording studios, two practice rooms, two Apple Mac suites, a Make-Up studio, four art studios and a printroom.

 

The Academy Salon

Our on-site hair & beauty salon allows students the opportunity to work in a real life setting. We have hair and beauty therapy salons, nail bars and tanning rooms.

 

Buckley’s Restaurant

Buckley's restaurant provides our talented hospitality and catering students with the opportunity to develop their skills to a professional level. Our students can demonstrate their abilities under the supervision of our qualified hospitality and catering staff.

 

Enrichment

To enhance your college experience, we offer a range of activities including various sport programmes and access to a free Fitness Studio. You might also find yourself involved in competitions where your represent the college in a sports team.

 

Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub

Orford Jubilee Park, the largest Olympic legacy development outside London, is equipped with start of the art faciltities including a tech fitness lab, gum, sports hall, squash courts, swimming pools, steam room and sauna. When you need a break from studing, the Crescent provides a relaxing space to socialise with friends, get something to eat, access the internet or just chill out and watch TV or play table tennis.

Additional support

Support is available to all our learners both in class and on an individual basis. You will have access to specialist support services to keep you on track both academically and personally. Our friendly and welcoming staff in Learner Services are there to help you find solutions to any problems whether it's financial, personal or something small.

If you have any additional needs, there are lots of ways in which we can support you. Our campus provides easy access for students with disabilities and wheelchair access is available to all main areas.

 

 

Learner success

Arianne Sallis completed the Performing Arts course and is now working at Disneyland Hong Kong as a vocalist/actor - "Warrington Collegiate taught me many skills I have used in the industry, inlcuding auditional technique, vocal support, acting technique but most of all confidence in what I do."

Ryan Waterworth completed the Aviation Operations Extended Diploma Level 3 course and is now working as a Passenger Service Agent with Menzies. "The Aviation course at Warrington Collegiate helped me so much and gave me such a great head start in the industry."

Sacha Hughes completed the Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair and Media Make-Up Diploma Level 3 - Sarcha is now working in the industry, having set up her own company, Xtreme FX alongside working at Illamasqua in Liverpool. "I'm so grateful to the College for the opportuntiies made available to me! I could not have achieved all this without them and I wouldn't be where I am right now."

Josh Pyrah completed both the Level 2 & 3 Plumbing Studies Diploma's - "I have loved my time at Warrington Collegiate. The staff are great and have supported me through all my practical and theoretical studies. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a future in the plumbing industry."

Matt Barker completed the Rugby League BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3, in partnership with Warrington Wolves, and has now secured a prestigious scholorship to play rugby for Springhill College in Alabama while also studying Health Science and Marketing.

Rachel Cornes completed the Applied Science BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3, and is now studying Zoology at Liverpool John Moores University.

    • By Rail: Anyone travelling by train should disembark at Central Station in Warrington. Our Winwick Road Campus is around a 20 minute walk along the A49 (you will pass the Warrington Wolves RLFC stadium and the Tesco supermarket on your left).

      By Bus: Warrington & Vale Royal College is easily accessible by bus from the town centre and nearby Cheshire districts. Bus numbers* 19, 20, 21, 22 from the Warrington Bus Station to Winwick Road Campus.
