Welcome to North Bromsgrove High School

At North Bromsgrove High School we seek to provide a high quality education for all our students and we are proud of being a fully inclusive school, where we provide an engaging learning environment and a wide variety of opportunities. We believe in mutual respect and encourage students to develop a positive attitude to learning and to work hard to achieve their full potential.

We strive towards excellence and focus on purposeful teaching and learning outcomes and provide excellent resources, including our cutting-edge technology. We are committed to the serious business of teaching and learning, and we achieve this through support, encouragement and praise, and always by challenging our students to do better and become independent learners who respond successfully to challenge.

We believe that individuality is important and that each student is unique and therefore we track progress closely and we seek to remove barriers which might hamper our students’ achievements thus enabling each student to do their best.

As well as academic achievement we believe that creativity is the key to developing enquiring minds and transferable skills, and we expect our students to engage fully with the learning process and extra-curricular activities. Our students have access to a wide variety of these activities and they can also take part in an extensive range of educational visits both in this country and abroad. We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities as this enables them to engage with new experiences, learn new skills for the future and develop their communication and team-building abilities.

Uniquely, we are also able to offer our students the opportunity to take part in an engineering pre-apprenticeship in partnership with adi.

Our Sixth Form also offers a wide range of courses which are tailored to meet the needs of individuals, some of which are not widely available in other schools such as Photography.

We believe that the quality of teaching, learning and pastoral care are the best resources a school can offer. Our staff are well qualified, experienced and work together in supporting our students.

We all know of the importance of working in partnership, and we are pleased to work collaboratively with parents and other partners to support the development of our students. We believe that happy, confident young people make happy confident and successful adults and that is the outcome we strive for at North Bromsgrove High School.
