Welcome to Nottingham Academy

As Principal of the Nottingham Academy, it is my job to ensure we provide the outstanding Academy the communities of Sneinton, Bakersfield, Mapperley and St. Ann’s deserve. My staff and I have high expectations and aspirations for all of our pupils.

This begins with demanding impeccable standards of behaviour and discipline.  All pupils are expected to conduct themselves in the best way possible; to be ambassadors for our Academy and our communities. They should be smart, polite and prepared to engage in their learning. We will not tolerate those who wish to disrupt the learning or well-being of others.

We challenge all of our pupils to be successful. This means setting aspirational targets and helping each pupil to fulfil their potential. I am fortunate to have an exceptionally hard working teaching staff; skilled in getting the best from our pupils. They monitor progress carefully: intervening, supporting and extending whenever  necessary.

We also have a well-developed pastoral system; with support teams dedicated to ensuring the needs of all pupils are catered for. We understand that supporting the emotional well-being and development of each child is just as important as the academic progress they make. We aim to provide a safe, happy and purposeful environment for everyone.

Should you have any questions or if you would like to visit the Academy, please don't hesitate to contact us.

I very much look forward to meeting you in the future.
