Welcome to St Leonard's Roman Catholic Voluntary Aided Comprehensive School

St Leonard’s is first and foremost a Catholic School. It is as Pope Benedict puts it a ‘positive option’, based on a recognition of the dignity of the human person called to a loving relationship with God, called to live the spiritual and moral dignity of a child of God in the communion of the Church.

Since 1936 we have seen how, as children grow in faith, their academic work improves, their lives become more fruitful, they form better relationships with others, they contribute more generously to the life of the community, and they are prepared for the joys and tribulations of adult life when they leave St Leonard’s.

Here we seek excellence in all and for all. We take Christ as the model for life and strive to build a Catholic community. St Leonard’s warmly welcomes families and children from other Christian denominations, and other Faiths, but we ask them always to remember our distinctively Catholic nature.
