Welcome to Carmel College, a Catholic Academy

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Carmel VI Form. We are a community built on Academic Strength and Spiritual Depth; a collection of individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds who come together to work, play, reflect, compete, discover, analyse and ultimately succeed.

It is my firm belief that every young person wants to be part of something great. Therefore, whether you are already a Carmel student, or coming to us from another school, I am confident you will find Carmel VI Form to be a great place to grow and learn.

About us

Carmel VI Form is for students who want to achieve. The curriculum is wide-ranging and includes traditional A-levels alongside vocational courses. We are justifiably proud of our outstanding exam results. Our students progress to the finest Universities in the country – and sometimes beyond these shores. Some move directly into apprenticeships or employment and all are provided with close monitoring, individual advice and careful support.

Our College Mission Statement emphasises ‘living life to the full’ (Jn.10:10) and we believe that spiritual and moral development play a pivotal role in this. Carmel is open to students of any faith or none and everyone is supported in their particular journey. Our retreat programme, annual ‘HCPT’ pilgrimage to Lourdes and charity works with organisations such as The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Awareness, are just some of the opportunities available for our students to get involved in the wider community.

Facilities available

As a VI Form student, you will have access to all areas of the College, including reserved areas of the library, ‘breakout’ departmental facilities and your own common room, complete with pool table, PlayStation, drinks machines and all-day Bistro. At Carmel you will spend your time in superb facilities. From the beautiful old mansion house, built in 1864, to the new state of the art multi-million pound faculty buildings, you will find the College perfect for all your needs.
