Welcome to Coppice Performing Arts School
I am delighted that you are interested in Sixth Form study here at Coppice Performing Arts School. We are rightfully proud of our Sixth Form students who are a credit to the high standards and expectations that we have throughout our school. We pride ourselves on offering excellent teaching and course provision tailored with the highest quality learning spaces and dedicated Sixth Form areas which have been developed as part of the Building Schools for the Future project.
Academic examination success is excellent and this is at the core of our Sixth Form offer. Exceptional support and guidance has resulted in 100% Pass Rate in 2013 and 2014, significantly above national average. The ambitions of our 6th Form students are fulfilled, as seen in 2014, when 100% of university applicants successfully achieved entrance to their first choice university. Our broad academic and vocational curriculum is enhanced by our specialism in Performing Arts. Students who are considering a career path in the Performing Arts have the opportunity to study specially tailored packages, on a full time basis, which include preparation and coaching for auditions and application to conservatoires and specialist music, dance and drama schools.
Sixth Form students contribute widely to the life of our school including music, sport, dance, drama, shows, and performances and through community and charitable events. We develop our Sixth Form members as leaders and role models who are able to support other students. At Coppice we are able to offer the best of all worlds: knowledgeable and experienced subject teachers; commitment to supporting students to succeed academically; the development of the whole student through growing responsibilities; the care, guidance and support to cater for every individuals needs and an exciting and vibrant learning environment where students can flourish.
I look forward to welcoming you.
