Welcome to Maesteg School

Moving to the sixth form is a time of excitement with new opportunities, new courses, new facilities and different rules. Our sixth form continues to go from strength to strength and it has that wonderful combination of ‘academic rigor, a good social life and caring environment’.

The academic performance continues to be strong and it is with pride that we note the growing number of students entering our sixth form. We are very proud of the quality we provide in terms of teaching, pastoral care, facilities and extracurricular opportunities. However, we are never complacent and we constantly evaluate our provision by the response of our students.

All Bridgend schools and the College are working in collaboration to offer a wider range of courses to Sixth Form students returning to Maesteg School. This means that some students may choose to take up a course/subject offered elsewhere but still be part of our Sixth Form.

The Partnership Comprises of:

  • Archbishop McGrath Catholic High School
  • Bridgend College
  • Brynteg School
  • Bryntirion Comprehensive School
  • Coleg Cymenedol Y Dderwen
  • Cynffig Comprehensive School
  • Maesteg Comprehensive School
  • Pencoed Comprehensive School
  • Porthcawl Comprehensive School
