Welcome to Heart of Worcestershire College


Heart of Worcestershire College is a further and higher education college that offers full time and part time courses in a diverse range of specialist subject areas. From courses for school leavers to affordable higher education and professional qualifications, we ensure our training is relevant to significantly improve employability prospects.

We pride ourselves in delivering job related qualifications in high quality environments to enable our students achieve a positive and bright future. Our staff and tutors are experts in their teaching area. They have prior experience in their industry and they provide extensive support and guidance to enable students to succeed and progress onto the next stage of their career journey. We strongly believe in providing students with inspiring work experience and this is possible due to our extensive links with employers. We also have our own commercial facilities such as our  hair and beauty salons, which are open to members of the public.

We have campuses throughout Worcestershire, meaning we are the largest further education college in the County.

Our vision is to provide skilled inspirational staff, high quality facilities, innovative virtual learning platforms, and a relevant and vital curriculum offer that engages a wide range of school aged, work based and adult students. Additional support

Starting at a new college can sometimes be daunting. We understand that making new friends, finding your way around and knowing who to talk to, when you need to, is sometimes difficult. That is why we provide a range of services to help you feel safe and supported.  From our Personal Tutors to our College Welfare Service, our friendly staff will be able to provide advice and support when you need.

Welfare Service

We take your welfare extremely seriously. Our Welfare Service provides you with a single point of contact if you are experiencing difficulties or worries. We offer confidential advice on a one-to-one basis and we are happy to discuss issues such as accommodation, bullying and general health.

Personal Tutors

Once you have enrolled onto your course we will assign you with a personal tutor who will support you in your academic studies. They will set targets and learning plans as well as providing pastoral support to ensure you reach your full potential at the College. You will participate in group tutorials and receive one-to-one support throughout the year that will help you develop skills and abilities to achieve your goals and have a successful future.

Support for Success

There may be times throughout college where you may require a little bit of extra help. This is where our Support 4 Success team can help make sure you gain the most out of your time at college. Whether you need techniques to manage your dyslexia, help organise your assignments , meet deadlines or support you to achieve the distinction grades you need, our specialist team will help you reach your full potential.

      Our campus cafe is a great place to grab a bite to eat and catch up with your friends. With fresh, healthy and delicious meals served at reasonable prices why go anywhere else! And for those 11am slumps why not treat yourself to a Costa Coffee? Located on campus there is no need to venture down to the high street. It’s the ideal place to relax and rehydrate during your study breaks class.

      Alliance House

      Alliance House is the College’s centre for construction in Redditch. Subjects taught at Alliance House include bricklaying, carpentry and joinery, site carpentry, bench joinery, multi-trade construction operations, plastering, plumbing and painting and decorating. The building is equipped with purpose built working environments allowing you to develop real-life working skills to prepare you for life after college.

      Osprey House

      Located on Albert Street, Osprey House is the College’s central office. It is also home to the College’s higher education and professional courses. Our excellent range of higher education and professional courses provide you with the skills, knowledge and support to progress in your future career.

    • Malvern is homed to the College's Construction Centre of Excellence and provides the equipment and space necessary to deliver high quality practical tutoring of construction trades including: brickwork, wood occupations and painting and decorating. 

      Our building has six units; stretching front to back, the first four are accessible from the front door, the rear two are accessed via a ramp between units four and five. Fire escape access for the first four units are on the same level but for four and five you will need to travel down steps to return to the front of the building adjacent to the fire assembly points.

      Ready to take to the stage? Thanks to an innovative partnership with Bromsgrove Arts Centre Trust and Bromsgrove District Council, Heart of Worcestershire College is proud to deliver its expressive arts courses at Artrix, one of Worcestershire’s premier arts venues. The centre provides a cultural hub for the community and ensures that performing arts, theatre production and music students have a professional environment to study in.

      Harley Davidson University

      Our Bromsgrove campus is home to the UK’s only Harley Davidson University. Employees of the franchise dealership come from across Europe and beyond to train in these state-of-the-art facilities and it also provides valuable work experience to selected Heart of Worcestershire College students.

    • Spires Theatre

      Always dreamed of being on stage? Look no further, our Performing Arts department boasts a professionally equipped theatre in St. Andrews' building with a state-of-the-art computerised lighting system, sound systems and multiple stages and seating positioning, giving you a platform to showcase your talent. As a Performing Arts student you will have the chance to participate in a variety of productions throughout the year. 

      The View

      Feeling peckish? The View is a place for you to grab a coffee, stop for a light snack or sit down for a full meal. It boasts a vast and ever-changing menu of freshly prepared snacks, meals, soups and cakes made by our Chefs and catering students. Looking out over the River Severn, The View is the place in college to meet friends over coffee, relax with a book over cake, or sit down for some enjoyable, wholesome, home-cooked food without any of the effort of cooking or preparing it yourself.

      Starbucks

      Make time for a milky latte and visit our Starbucks counter in The View. We have the only one in Worcester City Centre! So come sit back, warm up and relax with a cappuccino, or even grab a berry frappe to go!

      St Dunstan's

      St Dunstan's is a state-of-the-art building dedicated to our creative arts and hair and beauty provision in Worcester. Short-listed for the prestigious AJ Retrofit Awards, this modern building is home to our hair and beauty salon, art and design studios and coffee shop making it the perfect place for students to explore their creative side. Our hair and beauty salon, Fountains is open to members of the public.
