Miss A Ward
Director of Post 16
I am immensely proud of what our students and staff achieve and guarantee that if your child wants to learn, they will do so at our school.
During our most recent Ofsted inspection, the lead inspector found that“…the senior team are relentless in their drive to raise the quality of teaching, to improve students’ progress and to ensure the well-being of all.”
English, Creative arts and P.E. are strong at Moreton, the latter two cited by Ofsted as having ‘outstanding’ teaching.
We have a Post 16 provision and in the last 2 years students have achieved well in advance of the national average for Post 16. There is opportunity for students in Post 16 to join our Football or Rugby League Academies.
The best way to make a judgement is to see and sense what a school feels like and that’s why I hope you will take up our offer to visit us, either on our open evenings or at a more suitable time for you via appointment.
Thank you for your time, good luck with your choice and I hope to see you soon.
Mr Carl Williams
Ethos and Values
Examination and curriculum success is one element of the success at Moreton, but it is by no means the be all and end all. Moreton School is very proud of its extensive extra-curricular programme with regularly over 75 activities taking place each week outside of lesson time, either before, during or after the school day. These activities provide additional opportunities for our students to learn, try out new experiences and interact and compete with others.
Care and Support
Moreton is also very proud of its family ethos and this is inherent in all it does. We have a very strong support, care and guidance system within the school that supports the needs of the very able to the very needy. This has been commented on by many visitors and the latest Ofsted inspectors. I believe in high standards and expect all our students to adhere to these standards in order to prepare them for the next stage of their lives.
As Headteacher, I firmly believe that Moreton offers the very best choice for you and your child. If your child is ready to learn and willing to work hard, their rewards at Moreton can be fantastic. If you can spare the time, please come and visit us to find out why Staff, Students, Governors and other stakeholders rate Moreton so highly.
