Welcome to DECAT & DMF Digital

DECAT / DMF Digital Darnall Education Centre Associated Training Ltd (DECAT) is Yorkshire’s leading Music Development organisation, based near Centertainment in Sheffield. DECAT's music training facility (Darnall Music Factory) was established in 1979 and provides a diverse range of nationally recognised music industry training and employment, as well as cultural activities and advice and guidance. DMF Digital is a proudly independent Yorkshire based record label, which is a sister company to DECAT. DMF Digital is not just a record label, but also an innovative music industry development company as the organisation offers the music industry's next generation: artist and band development, international distribution and apprenticeship opportunities. The label has international distribution provided by The Orchard (the world's biggest digital distributor based in New York) and Believe Digital (based in Paris). The company offers a variety of development deals as well as 'ethical' publishing contracts, which lead to synchronisations with UK and US based film, advertising, games and TV companies. We also offer showcasing opportunities to the best new musical talent at events such as South by South West (Austin, Texas), New York Sound City, CMJ (New York), Liverpool Sound City and Tramlines (Sheffield). We also run regular events at Sheffield venues, such as Maida Vale, The Leadmill, Corporation, Plug and O2 Academy. In 2015 and 2016 we are running special Youth Music events on the main stage of the Sheffield O2 Academy. All of these events are developed with our apprentices.
