Welcome to St Richard Reynolds Catholic College
As a recognised outstanding school, we are thrilled to be embarking upon the next phase of the development of St Richard Reynold's Catholic College as we prepare to open the Sixth Form in September 2018.
We see our Sixth Form as the pinnacle of a student's College career and are keen to ensure that the experience provided fully prepares students for the next phase of their lives.
All students will study three A level courses. We welcome applications from our current students as well as those who are new to us but keen to join our community. Students from all faiths and none are very welcome, but if the Sixth Form is oversubscribed, priority will be given to baptised Catholic students. Please refer to the Admissions page of the College website for full details regarding our application criteria.
As with the entire College journey, we want to be measured by academic success and the Sixth Form is no different. Our students will be supported to achieve their potential principally through outstanding learning and teaching and tailored pastoral support, something the College already prides itself on. In addition to this, as a Catholic College, the students will have planned and more informal opportunites for worship and spiritual growth throughout their Sixth Form careers.
Through a well-balanced curriculum of courses, independent study and a wider enrichment programme, we are confident that our students will have a wealth of quality post-18 opportunities available to them including top flight apprenticeships, universities and promising careers.
It is important to us that students will make memories in the Sixth Form which will last a llifetime and therefore support and encourage them in the next, more independent, phase of their lives.
I very much hope that you will choose to visit us at our Sixth Form Open Evening to find out more about courses and to meet staff. Please visit our website for details.
