Welcome to The Adult College of Barking and Dagenham

At the Adult College, we have been providing courses to the local community for over 30 years.

We are committed to support every adult in Barking and Dagenham to further their learning through vibrant and innovative programmes. Our free Skills for Life programme, and low cost courses, help those without qualifications to progress towards Level Two courses and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Our wide range of vocational (on the job) programmes offer qualifications that will build your skills, and improve your job prospects.

Returning to learning could be the first step in achieving your goals and ambitions. Learning does not have to be about getting a qualification. There's great satisfaction from getting to grips with something new, and proving to yourself that you can do it!
You don't need to make a huge time commitment to learn something new. Many of our courses are only one or two hours long per week.

If you want to join 4,000 learners who already study with us each year, now is your chance. Our expert staff are on hand to support you with your learning aims, whether you are a complete beginner or a more confident and experienced learner.

We want you to get the most out of your time at the Adult College, so before deciding on a course, make sure you have all the information you need. We have detailed information sheets on every course available on request, or if you require further advice or information please give us a call between:

  • Monday to Thursday (term time) - 8:30am to 8pm
  • Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
