Welcome to Robert Owen Academy

“Working together to deliver an innovative curriculum”.

The Robert Owen Academy will challenge learners of all abilities to achieve excellence in a wide range of academic and vocational settings and prepare them to effectively move into the adult world of work. We will equip learners for the demands and opportunities of the twenty-first century by offering a differentiated, effective and rigorous curriculum as an entitlement to all that is delivered through realistic work-centred scenarios and placements.

A professional and highly motivated staff, in partnership with parents and stakeholders, will encourage each learner to achieve their full potential and provide advice, support and guidance on developing a high level of work-based knowledge and social skills. In a disciplined and caring environment, based on co-operative principles of mutual respect and collaboration, each learner will be valued as an individual in their own right.

Learners will undertake an individual learning programme, as part of the Vocational Baccalaureate, allowing them to focus on areas of strength and interest and achieve qualifications that are valued by employers and training providers alike.

We will promote aspiration and nurture innovation in all our learners to create a flexible approach to 14-19 study that is genuinely personalised.
