Welcome to Kinver High School and Sixth Form
Invictus is an exciting new development of a single Sixth Form, based on four school campuses. This means there is a fantastic fusion of a familiar secure base and opportunities to meet and study with new people as well as make a wider and different circle of friends.
Invictus will offer, as you would expect, a wide range of high quality academic courses. These will be taught by well qualified, talented and experienced staff.
We are also determined that the wider experience of being part of Invictus should be rich and varied. To get the best from your time in the next two years you will need to ‘throw yourselves’ into the life of the Sixth Form. You will have the opportunity to lead, organise and run clubs and activities all of which will serve you well in the future.
I promise you that if you ‘invest’ your time in this vibrant Sixth Form you will get a terrific ‘return on your investment’.
I wish you well in your deliberations and choices.

Executive Headteacher / CEO
Invictus Sixth Form brings together the very best teaching, learning and achievement from four successful schools; Ellowes Hall, Ounsdale, Kinver and Crestwood.
Three of the four schools already possess a long-standing reputation for high quality education and personal achievement at post-16 level and through Invictus Sixth Form we know this success will grow.
We are committed to providing a high quality, forward looking and caring educational experience which enables all our students to fulfil their potential. We recognise and value achievement within all aspects of Sixth Form life, be it in an academic, sporting, creative, personal or social context and are keen to celebrate our students’ many successes.
We offer a wide variety of advanced level courses and our small group sizes ensure that each student has the support and challenge needed to be successful. All students will belong to a tutor group at their chosen base campus and receive regular academic mentoring from their personal tutor as well as support with careers and university applications. We also have an extensive enrichment programme which complements our students’ academic studies, providing them with opportunities to develop new skills, make new friends and settle into Sixth Form life.
Each campus within Invictus Sixth Form has its own dedicated sixth form area. We believe that this allows our students the freedom and independence to develop their own sense of identity and confidence as well as providing the support and challenge needed to ensure that they can meet the demands of Sixth Form study.
We have high expectations of our students in every sense. Studying at Invictus Sixth Form is demanding and advanced level work can be challenging as well as exciting, rewarding and fun. Students are expected to work independently, manage their own time and balance the many demands placed upon them. If you find such a prospect attractive it is likely that you will enjoy and gain enormously from becoming an Invictus Sixth Form student.
We welcome applications from Year 11 students within Ellowes Hall, Crestwood, Kinver and Ounsdale High Schools as well as from other schools within Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stourbridge or further afield. We have a proven record of success and hope that our prospectus will encourage you to take the next step in applying for a place and ultimately becoming a student with us.
On behalf of the staff of Invictus Sixth Form, I wish you the very best of luck in your forthcoming GCSE examinations and look forward to meeting you at one of the open evenings or at interview in the weeks and months to come.
Director of Invictus Sixth Form
Each school will have a base campus where students will meet, socialise and study when not in lessons and will provide access to academic tutors. While some students may remain in their base campus for all their lessons, many will undertake lessons for one or more of their subject choices away from their base campus. Transport will therefore be provided, free of charge, for all students taking subjects away from their base campus and will be a normal part of sixth form life, giving students the opportunity to mix with others and make new friends.
Sixth Form is a bridge between school and university where we aim to develop students’ independence. A Levels are challenging and we seek to support and guide our students as they make the transition from GCSE to A Level study. During their time with us we acknowledge that students may at some point face a difficulty, be it due to relationship, health, family, academic or other issues. Our teams of staff within each campus are experienced in identifying those students in need of extra care and guidance and will ensure that everything possible is done to provide them with the necessary support to enable them to fulfil their potential. We are fortunate to be able to offer students a personal tutor with whom they will meet with on a daily basis. We also have access to Learning Mentors, student counsellors and the Staffordshire/ Dudley Careers Guidance Service
