Welcome to University of West London

With over six decades of excellent teaching, the School offers a range of expert courses designed to put you at the centre of this dynamic and constantly growing service sector.

From further education through undergraduate studies to postgraduate awards, the School is located in London; the heart of the aviation, culinary arts, events, hospitality and tourism sectors.

Valuing the importance of employer engagement, we work with some of the world’s largest brands to create courses which are specifically designed to allow your ambition to become reality. We're also committed to serving our local and regional communities by working closely with employers though curriculum engagement and partnerships.

We invite a number of practising professionals and employers in the sector to give guest lectures, provide placements and, at times, assist with the assessment of students. In addition, staff work closely with a number of schools from the surrounding boroughs to promote careers in hospitality and tourism.

We also have the highly successful Junior Chef's Academy which brings together food teachers, business education partnerships, employers, parents and students as a 'learning community' within the University. This has proved to be an enormous success and is part of a food educative process that is so important to the future health of the nation.

The School’s international reputation puts it at the forefront of service sector education. Our Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Education awarded in 2009, acknowledges the commitment and passion of all our staff. The combination of world-class teaching and practical, industry-based learning will open up many career paths.

Our subject areas are:

  • Hospitality
  • Travel and Tourism
  • Culinary arts
  • Airport and airline management

I am sure that by choosing the School of Hospitality and Tourism you will be making a decision to join one of the most prestigious professional schools in the country. We look forward to welcoming you on your journey towards a bright future.
