The UK’s first truly commercial LNG importation terminal, we are the largest, by capacity, in Europe and eighth largest in the world – with the ability to supply 20 per cent of the UK’s forecast gas demand.

Our state-of-the-art, above-ground storage tanks are each capable of storing 190,000 cubic metres of LNG, and are the largest of their kind in the world. This capacity is matched by a world-class importation facility, vital to delivering the UK’s energy supply requirements and supporting the development of competitive gas markets. It provides an important link between the UK, European gas markets and ensuring diversity of supply via world-wide LNG sources.
