About us

LITC is a dynamic social enterprise, established in 2009 in London, delivering throughout the UK, the EU and internationally. LITC’s key objective is to make a difference in our society, through: addressing worklessness; overcoming personal and social barriers; up-skilling and assisting individuals to gain qualifications; inspire civic participation; encourage community engagement; and to assist in the development of Young People and Families in their communities.

LITC aims to inspire individuals and communities we work with to be aspirational. To challenge Young People and Families to participate, to develop, to gain recognition for the positive contribution that they are doing in their local communities, while also making measurable progress in their personal lives.

Starting life as a small grassroots Training Provider, in Brixton, London Borough of Lambeth, LITC quickly experienced an immense period of enterprise and capacity building. Through strategic partnerships with key partners, LITC established itself as a Welfare to Work provider, through its DWP ESF Families Programme; as a Youth organisation: through its Skills Funding Agency Right Futures Programme, and as an International Development organisation through projects such as Youth in Action and upcoming sport for development initiatives.

As well as developing new areas, LITC’s Apprenticeship programmes continue to develop: from Health and Social Care; to now including Business Administration and Customer Service. From February 2013, LITC’s will also offer Hospitality and Sports & Active Leisure Apprenticeship qualifications. As a social enterprise on the SFA Register of Training Organisations, LITC is further growing our training and qualifications portfolio.
