Welcome to UTC Leeds
Welcome to the UTC Leeds. We are a new school that opened in September 2016 offering a range of A Level and Technical Level qualifications. You will work closely with the University of Leeds and local employers to ensure that you gain excellent academic qualifications as well as the skills and attributes needed to succeed in a range of engineering and STEM professions.
UTC Leeds is the first school in the area to provide high quality academic and vocational training with a focus on engineering and cutting edge technology.
Students will have the opportunity to select the individual pathway that it best suited to their future goals. The UTC provides courses and experiences that will enable students to access a range of apprenticehips and degree courses across the STEM subjects.
All students will follow a Level 3 (A Level or Core) Mathematics course and will therefore need a GCSE grade 4 or above in mathematics. We will also require 5+ 9-4 GCSE grades with a grade 6 in the A Level subjects that you choose.
Having opened in September 2016, UTC Leeds offers high-tech, cutting-edge facilities and a first class educational experience. Based in a unique building that combines a state-of-the-art educational environment with the city's proud engineering heritage, graduates from UTC Leeds will have the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in 21st century jobs across of a wide range of engineering and STEM disciplines.

Students leaving UTCs across the country have been successful in accessing all options available to them. Should you wish to go to University, start an apprenticeship or begin your career at work you will have the qualifications and experience to access any of these options.
