About us

Class of 2018: Best ever high grades achieved.

We have some of the very best educational estate in the region as part of the 'Vision Tameside' strategy in partnership with Tameside Council.

You will study in a state-of-the-art Sixth Form College in the heart of Ashton town centre.


Clarendon Sixth Form started life in Hyde in 1957 as Hyde Grammar School. It became a sixth form college in 1979 and relocated to Ashton town centre in 2015 as Clarendon Sixth Form College.

Clarendon Sixth Form College opened in 2015 which has the following faciltities to help support your education and training:

  • Laboratories
  • Photography studio and dark room
  • Mac suite
  • Social spaces and common room
  • Learning Hub

When you come to college we will create a study programme specifically designed towards supporting you and your individual learning needs.
From helping you choose the right course to getting the right support through your mathematics and English classes.
