Welcome to UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park


University Technical College (UTC) Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, part of the UTC Sheffield Academy Trust, is a school for 14 to 19 year olds, specialising in Health Sciences, Sport Science and Computing. Students can start with us in Y10 or Y12 to study a combination of GCSEs/A Levels and a technical specialism (OCR Cambridge Nationals and Technicals). We are located on the Olympic Legacy Park, which is set to be part of an internationally recognised Innovation District for health and wellbeing research and learning. The Olympic Legacy Park will host not only Sheffield’s second UTC, but also the Sheffield Eagles Rugby Pitch (tbc), Sheffield Sharks Basketball Stadium and the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC), which will be the most advanced research and development centre for physical activity and health in the world. When full, the UTC will have capacity for 600 students; our class sizes are smaller than average, allowing staff to spend more time with the students. At UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park we offer a dynamic, career-focused and supportive learning environment, working in partnership with a wide range of local health, sport and computing employers. Our state-of-the-art building is equipped with high quality, industry-standard facilities a health and development suite including a flexible ward set up, a child development area and a facility for an operational ambulance, a user experience (UX) lab, a fitness suite and much more.

UTC are holding a

Life Beyond GCSEs, Careers Event

on Tuesday 27th November from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

At the event you will get the opportunity to talk to and access information from over 20 further and higher education providers, including:

  • The University of Sheffield

  • Sheffield Hallam University

  • The University of Leeds

  • The University of Nottingham

  • The University of Huddersfield

  • UTC Sheffield

  • The Sheffield College

  • Longley Park Sixth Form College

  • Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire (HeppSY+)

  • Sheffield Teaching Hospitals

In addition to the careers evening there will also be a formal presentation: UTC Post 16 Guided Pathways between 6:30pm-7:00pm. This will be specific to all Year 11 students, parents/carers who are interested in the Post 16 pathways available at UTC.

There will a range of refreshments available to purchase, provided for all attendees served from 4:45-5:30pm.

    • UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park is the second UTC in Sheffield, opening in September 2016. It offers a combination of Technical and A Levels courses to Sixth Form students. The majority of students at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park are advised to take a Cambridge Technical course of variable size in either Computing, Health or Sport combined with A Level courses.
