Welcome to LLS
Thank you for visiting the UCAS Progress page of LLS, a leading provider of Post 16 sports courses & global sports tours.
LLS launched in 2008 and currently work in partnership with 6th forms and Colleges to deliver Level 3 Sports Coaching & Fitness qualifications which provide students with weekly work experience and access to a network of professional contacts from the world of sport.
Course graduates are fortunate to be able to choose from a range of options upon completing the 2 year course which include: university, scholarships, paid global coaching and apprenticeships.
Theory lessons are taught in state of the art classrooms and all learners have full access to IT facilities.
Practical lessons are delivered in a number of settings which include indoor sports halls, gymnasiums and fitness suites.
At key points in the year learners will be taken to elite sports environments to watch sports professionals at work; a recent example includes a visit to Leeds Rhinos Academy where students spent time with Sports Scientists and Physiotherapists.
Check out @LLSonline and visit our 'Leeds' highlight tab for an insight to our courses.
Students have a maximum of two tutors who deliver the theory and practical part of the LLS programme.
Tutors are supported by a member of LLS' Senior Leadership Team whose role is to support student progress and manage any pastoral issues.
Allerton High School 6th form team are also on hand to provide any support which may be needed.
LLS have a successful track record of helping students progress to a number of destinations which include: university, scholarships, global coaching and apprenticeships.
University - in order to support students in making well-informed decisions for higher education, LLS organise a minimum of two university trips for students during 6th form: these include taster days at Leeds Beckett and Liverpool Hope.
Scholarships - talented footballers and athletes are given the opportunity to take their participation on to the next level by attending annual scholarship trial days which are organised by LLS.
Global coaching - LLS have become an exclusive provider of qualified coaches to a number of sports organisations outside of the UK. Each year, Year 13 students are given the opportunity to attend LLS' global coaches conference which is attended by active employers from countries such as the USA, Canada, Finland, Sri Lanka and Qatar. Successful students are paid to coach on a variety of contracts which range from summer employment to full-time roles. Check out our '#GCC2018' highlight tab on instagram for updates from our most recent event.
Apprenticeships - not all students want to head straight to univeristy or employment and sometimes feel they need some further expereince. Apprenticeships are a perfect way to gain further experience, more qualifications and get paid for doing so.
